This is a foundation created by Jimmy Neil Smith to support the art of storytelling.
It maintains a storytelling museum and arts center in Jonesborough, Tennessee.
Jimmy Neil Smith was the founder and former executive director of the National Association for the Preservation and Perpetuation of Storytelling (NAPPS), which became The National Storytelling Association. That organization broke into two entities, the National Storytelling Network, which is a membership organization. And the International Storytelling Center foundation. NSN and the International Storytelling Center co-own the National Storytelling Festival.
